Event Planning & Booking

  • Yes. Many groups use the estate for more than a single event. Depending on your reservation, you may be able to host welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, farewell brunches, team-building activities, poolside gatherings, and other private experiences during your stay.

  • Yes. You're welcome to bring your preferred vendors for catering, photography, florals, rentals, entertainment, and other event services.

    To help ensure a smooth event experience, a few requirements apply:

    • DJs must be selected from our approved vendor list.

    • Bartenders must be licensed to serve alcohol in California and provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI).

    • A professional wedding planner is required for all weddings and must be engaged at least 1–3 months prior to the event.

    • Day-of-only coordination is not permitted.

  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted in our homes or event areas. It is your responsibility to inform your guests of this policy. Designated smoking areas are in the parking lot ONLY. No smoking will be permitted outside of these areas, doing so will jeopardize the return of any security deposit collected.

  • We love to recommend the La Quinta Resort and Homewood Suites. As always, we recommend booking extra lodging far in advance as the desert has many visitors.  

    Additionally, the Walker Land Company owns a few beautiful vacation homes located close to the Old Polo Estate.

  • Yes. Old Polo Estate is part of the Walker Land Company collection of unique event venues. If your preferred date is unavailable, take a look at the nearby Desert White House.

 

Wedding Weekend & Estate Venue FAQs

  • Unlike a hotel venue, Old Polo Estate provides exclusive access to a private estate. Rather than sharing spaces with other guests or events, your group enjoys complete privacy, dedicated event areas, overnight accommodations, and resort-style amenities throughout your stay.

  • Absolutely. Many couples choose Old Polo Estate specifically for multi-day wedding celebrations. Popular events include welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, wedding ceremonies, receptions, poolside gatherings, and farewell brunches.

  • Yes. Old Polo Estate is a fully private estate venue. When you reserve the property, you and your guests have exclusive access to the grounds, accommodations, and amenities during your stay.

  • Old Polo Estate offers luxury overnight accommodations for up to 20 guests within the main estate. For larger wedding weekends and private events, additional on-site lodging options, including our casitas and Airstream accommodations, can increase total overnight capacity to approximately 60 guests.

  • Yes. Many couples choose Old Polo Estate for destination weddings because it combines accommodations, event spaces, and weekend activities in one location. Guests can enjoy more time together without traveling between multiple venues.

  • Amenities include luxury overnight accommodations, a resort-style pool and spa, outdoor kitchen and bar, private getting-ready spaces, expansive event lawns, fire pits, pickleball, volleyball, a 3-hole golf course, and multiple gathering areas designed for weddings, retreats, and private events.

  • Old Polo Estate is located in Indio, California, in the heart of the Coachella Valley near Palm Springs. The property offers convenient access to Palm Springs International Airport, local resorts, golf courses, restaurants, and area attractions while maintaining the privacy of a secluded estate.

  • Old Polo Estate can accommodate events with up to 200 guests. The property's expansive outdoor spaces provide flexibility for weddings, corporate retreats, private celebrations, and multi-day gatherings.

  • Yes. Old Polo Estate includes luxury overnight accommodations. Many groups choose to stay on-site for an immersive weekend experience, eliminating the need to travel between venues and hotels.

  • Yes. The estate offers on-site parking for guests, vendors, and overnight visitors, making arrivals and departures simple and convenient.

  • Please leave your furry friends at home. While we love pets, animals are not permitted at Old Polo Estate. This policy helps us maintain the home, grounds, and event spaces for all guests while preserving the quality of our accommodations and landscaping.

  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted in our homes or event areas. It is your responsibility to inform your guests of this policy. Designated smoking areas are in the parking lot ONLY.   • In addition to the estate house and on-site Casitas, guests can choose from a variety of nearby hotels, resorts, and vacation rentals throughout Indio, La Quinta, Palm Desert, and the greater Coachella Valley.
